The 11th SS Volunteer Panzergrenadier Division Nordland was a Waffen-SS division that was active from July 1943 to May 1945. The division consisted of two panzergrenadier regiments, one each from Norway and Denmark, with both regiments also containing conscripts from Hungary. The division was attached to the III SS Panzer Corps, and it was deployed against Yugoslavian partisans in September 1943. In 1944, it was transferred to take part in the Siege of Leningrad, and it fought at the Battle of Berlin in 1945, with Joachim Ziegler leading the division until 25 April and Gustav Krukenberg after 25 April. On 2 May, the division was forced to surrender to the Soviets.
