Adam Smith (born 15 June 1965) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-WA 9) from 3 January 1997, succeeding Randy Tate.

Biography[]

Adam Smith was born in Washington DC in 1965, and he was raised in SeaTac, Washington. He worked as a Seattle prosecutor from 1993 to 1995, and he served in State Senate from 1991 to 1997, when he was elected to the US House of Representatives. He was a member of the moderate New Democrats, and he supported the Iraq War in 2003.
