Adnan Bari (1973-2007) was a fighter of the Mujahideen Army.
Biography[]
Adnan Bari was born in Mosul, Iraq to a family of Sunni Arabs, and he joined the Mujahideen Army following the United States invasion in 2003. Bari was an Iraqi nationalist and Islamist, and he fortified a mosque in Almaden. US Marine Corps troops came under heavy machine gun fire from the insurgent-held mosque, so they sent troops to seize it, and Bari was killed.
