Alberto

Alberto (born 1055) was a general of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily.

Biography[]

Alberto was a natural commander, and served his Norman lords of the Kingdom of Sicily well. In 1102, Alberto conducted an amphibious capture of the Fatimid Caliphate rebels' city of Tunis, expanding Sicilian rule to North Africa.

He later became the commander of the garrison of Durazzo, and in 1144 he captured Ragusa from Barbus Selvo and Alesandro Selvo of La Serenissima after Venice declared war on the Sicilians.
