Ambrose Darnell Heth was a general of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. Heth was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and he served in the US Army during the Mexican-Aemrican War as a colonel. Heth rose to command a brigade during the Civil War, fighting against the Union in Virginia for much of the war.
