Army of Epirus

Order of battle, 1836.

The Army of Epirus (Greek: Στρατό Ηπείρου, Stratós Epeírou) was one of the two main field armies in the land forces of the Kingdom of Greece in the aftermath of the Greek War of Independence. Consisting of about 9,000 men as of 1836, it carried out the land operations during the Greek Liberation of Crete against Egypt in 1839–40 under the command of General Charilaos Kolokotronis.
