The Battle of Tulum (May 1721) occurred when a Spanish force commanded by Alonsico Yebera attacked the Hashshashin base of Tulum in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The battle was the second attack on Tulum that month; Spain and Great Britain had repeatedly attacked Tulum on the orders of Templar affiliates in both countries' armies. Edward Kenway had headed to Tulum to meet with the Assassin mentor Ah Tabai, who gave Kenway rope darts; Kenway was able to use his rope darts to fight off the Spanish invaders, hanging a few from trees using the darts and pulling some other enemies towards him. The Spanish invaders were pushed back from the beaches, and Kenway later snuck aboard the Spanish ship and killed Yebera, forcing the Spanish to call off their attack.
