Benjamin ship

The Benjamin was a schooner owned and operated by the pirate Benjamin Hornigold during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century. In April 1718, the Benjamin was heavily damaged by the British Royal Navy man o' war HMS Princess of London after Blackbeard's ship Queen Anne's Revenge unwisely attacked the British vessel, and the ship was forced to withdraw. A year later, the Benjamin took part in an ambush of Edward Kenway's ship Jackdaw, with Hornigold becoming a British privateer. The ambush failed, and the Benjamin ran aground on Santanillas while lost in fog; Kenway killed Hornigold not long after.
