BCRA 2017
The Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017 (BCRA) was a US Congress bill to repeal Obamacare and amend some of the provisions of the American Health Care Act of 2017. The bill's discussion draft was released by the Senate Budget Committee on 22 June 2017, and its release led to the Republican Party senators Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, Mike Lee, Dean Heller, and Rand Paul announcing their opposition to the revised bill. One of the bill's provisions was cuts to Medicaid, which caused Heller, the senator from Nevada, to withdraw his support out of concern for his constituents. On 13 July 2017, a revised version of the bill was released by the US Senate.
