Bishop Johann of Lavant
Bishop Johann of Lavant (27 July 1280-) was Court Chaplain of the Holy Roman Empire in 1315, preceding Ottobuono di Razzi. Johann von Lusatia was of German descent, and he became Bishop of Lavant in Carinthia (now Lavanttal, Austria) in the Duchy of Austria). Johann was loyal to the Duke of Austria, Friedrich the Usurper, for years; however, Friedrich named Di Razzi his new court chaplain after Ottobuono proved that he was better-suited for the job. Friedrich compensated Johann with a gift of money.
