Biography[]

Bob Sheetz was the son of a dairy store owner in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and he bought one of his father's stores in 1952 and opened a new store in 1963. He worked with his brother Steve to expand the company, planning to open a new Sheetz shop each year. By 1983, the brothers had opened 100 stores in Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, and he retired a year later, leaving control of the company to his family.
