Brahim Abdeslam

Brahim Abdeslam (30 July 1984 – 13 November 2015) was a member of the Islamic State from Belgium who was one of the eight perpetrators of the November 2015 Paris attacks.

Biography[]

Brahim Abdeslam was born on July 30, 1984 in Molenbeek, Brussels, Belgium to a family of Sunni Muslims, and he was the brother of Salah Abdeslam. Along with his younger brother, he ran a bar in Brussels frequented by Maghrebis, but it was later closed for spiking the drinks. Abdeslam later moved to France, gaining a French passport in 2006. The Abdeslam brothers joined the Islamic State, and on 13 November 2015 they headed to the capital city of Paris and carried out the November 2015 Paris attacks. Salah was one of the shooters at Le Petit Cambodge restaurant while Brahim Abdeslam was a part of the team that shot at several restaurants before he headed to a bistro on the Boulevard Voltaire. He sat down and placed an order before detonating his vest, wounding 15 people and killing himself.
