Claudia Sorrenti (740-17 May 775) was the Dogaressa of Venice from 769 to 770 with Doge Maurizio of Venice.
Biography[]
Claudia was born in 740 to the House of Sorrenti, a ruling family in the Republic of Amalfi. She was the daughter of Patrician Martino of Sorrenti, and in 769 she was married to the leader of Amalfi's rivals, Doge Maurizio of Venice. However, her husband died of natural causes in 770, so she remarried to Giorgio Ravelli, the Magistros and designated heir to the House of Ravelli in Amalfi. She died of pneumonia at the age of 35 in 775.
