The Congolese Movement for Democracy and Integral Development (MCDDI) is a liberal political party in the Republic of the Congo, founded on 3 August 1989 by Bernard Kolelas. Kolelas was an opponent of the communist Congolese Party of Labor's dictatorial rule, and the party later formed an alliance with PCT leader Denis Sassou Nguesso in order to form a coalition government. Kolelas' son Guy Brice Parfait Kolelas took over the party after his father's death in 2009, and he criticized the PCT for not appointing MCDDI members as ambassadors, prefects, or mayors as promised; however, he claimed that the PCT-MCDDI alliance had been signed with the blood of their ancestors, and that the alliance would continue.
