The Congolese Progressive Party (PPC) was a socialist political party in the Republic of the Congo that was founded in 1945 by Jean-Felix Tchicaya. The PPC was closely linked to the French Communist Party until 1950, and many of the party's members were trade union activists. In 1946, the party won the National Assembly election in Moyen-Congo with 46% of the votes, but the PPC lost strength in 1947 after the Communist Party was expelled from the French government. In 1957, the party was dissolved due to internal differences, and it was succeeded by the National Movement of the Revolution party.
