Donald "Don" Percival (born June 6, 1969) is an American businessman, ex-SEAL, and the entrepreneur who founded the Merryweather Security private military contracting company in 2003. In 2013 his company withdrew from domestic services due to many shootouts with criminals, causing harm to the city of Los Angeles.

Biography[]

Percival was born to an Anglo-Saxon Protestant family, and enlisted in the Navy SEALs at the age of 20. He saw action in Operation Just Cause against Panama and became a mercenary after being honorably discharged in 1991. As a mercenary, he fought in West Africa in a coup in 2003 and founded the Merryweather Security company that year, floating on NASDAQ in the US Stock Market. Expanding domestic operations to appease shareholder demand, his mercenaries were hired by the US Army as guards for valuable shipments, such as a nuclear weapon shipment that was stolen (and later returned) by professional criminals from Los Angeles Harbor. Percival was angered by the criminals, who killed many of his contractors and caused damage to his organization, but he also provided arms drops to those who paid him. After the Union Depository Heist of 2013, Percival was forced to stop the large rate of his involvement in domestic operations, but with the disappearance of businessman Devin Weston, he bought his 13% shares in the company and earned lots of money.

Percival has lobbied for a war in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, or France to boost the economy of the United States and to get his soldiers employment. His company has fought in many proxy wars around the world, paid by the US Government and others.
