Eadgifu of Wessex (902-955) was Queen of West Francia from 919 to 922 with Charles the Simple. The daughter of Edward the Elder and Aefflaed, she, like her sisters Eadgyth of Wessex and Eadhild of Wessex, married continental European nobility. Her only son would be Louis IV of France, who lived in England with her from 923 to 936 after Charles was captured by Robert I of France and Rudolph I of France. She died in a convent in Laon in 955.
