Economic liberalism
Economic liberalism is an economic system that asserts that individuals or households should make economic decisions instead of collective institutions or organizations. Economic liberalism supports a market economy and private property in the means of production, supporting free trade and open markets; it is the opposite of protectionism, mercantilism, and feudalism. It is also opposed to socialist and communist economics.
