Emir Hasan of Hashimid Emirate (703-) was the Emir of the Hashimid Emirate and a vassal of the Abbasid Caliphate.
Biography
Hasan was born in 703 to the Banu Hashim, a tribe of Shia Muslim Bedouin. Hasan was a vassal of the Abbasid Caliphate, ruling over parts of western present-day Saudi Arabia. He was later forced by caliph al-Mansur to convert to Sunni Islam in early 769 following his conversion of Sheikh Ya'qub of Al' Aqabah to Shi'ism.
