Fahad al-Thumairy () was a Saudi Arabian diplomat at the Saudi consulate in the United States.

Biography[]

Fahad al-Thumairy worked as a diplomat at the Saudi Arabian consulate in the United States, although he was known for his extremist views. Thumairy was found deceptive and suspicious by the US government, and he was in regular contact with Saudi agent Omar al-Bayoumi, who met with Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi and helped the two of them in moving to San Diego; al-Thumairy met them at the King Khalid Mosque. Thumairy's role in the 9/11 attacks led to the United States denying him re-entry in 2003 for having ties to terrorist activity.
