Perce is a small city at the northern tip of the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec, Canada. The area was explored by the french explorer Samuel de Champlain in 1603 and was named Isle Percee ("Pierced Island"). The village served as a fishing center under New France, and it became a town on 1 January 1971. In 2011, the town had a population of 3,312 people.
