Puneet Ahluwalia was a Virginia Indian Republican Committee member. On 29 October 2016, he spoke at a Trump rally in Fairfax, Virginia, saying that as Vice Chair of the Fairfax County Republican Committee, he had to create a path for Asian-Americans to get involved with politics. Ahluwalia sought to deliver Virginia to the GOP and Trump, and he encouraged the audience to help the GOP.
