2008 farm bill
The Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008, also known as the 2008 US Farm Bill, was a five-year agricultural policy bill that was passed by the US Congress on 18 June 2008. The bill continued the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, increasing food stamp benefits, supporting cellulosic ethanol, and money for research of agricultural problems. The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 extended provisions of the Farm Bill for nine months until September 2013.
