Gerrit von Nassau-Idstein
Gerrit von Nassau-Idstein (1590-) was the Count of Nassau-Idstein and the adoptive son of Maurice of Orange.

Gerrit von Nassau-Idstein was born in Idstein, Holy Roman Empire (now in Hesse, Germany) in 1590 to a branch of the House of Nassau. In 1618, he was adopted by Prince Maurice of Orange, as he was a siege expert, a drillmaster, a promising commander, and noble in battle. Gerrit married Margareta de Gorrevod that same year.
