Hidemitsu Akechi (1557-1582) was a retainer of the Akechi clan of Mino Province, serving Mitsuhide Akechi, his father-in-law. Hidemitsu was killed in the 1582 Battle of Yamazaki alongside his lord.

Hidemitsu Akechi was born in Mikawa Province to Kageyuki Toyama and Takasada Miyake. He married Oda general Mitsuhide Akechi's daughter, taking the family name and becoming a retainer for him. In 1582, he assisted in the rebellion against Nobunaga Oda at Honnoji, Kyoto, before fighting in the Battle of Yamazaki. He defended the main camp while Mitsuhide attacked the Hashiba main camp, and was killed by Mitsunari Ishida.
