Ikazuchi
Ikazuchi was an Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer that was built at the Uraga Dock Company in 1930 and commissioned in 1932. She assisted with the Japanese conquest of Hong Kong and the East Indies in December 1941, and she also fought at the Battle of the Sunda Strait and in the Aleutians before taking part in the Solomon Islands campaign of 1942. Her forward gun mount caught fire at the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal in November 1942, and she would later become a convoy escort ship. On 13 April 1944, the Ikazuchi was torpedoed by a US Navy submarine 200 miles southeast of Guam while escorting the transport Sanyo Maru to Woleai, and there were no survivors.
