Jackdaw vs. Davenport (September 1719) was a naval battle fought between the pirate brig Jackdaw and the pirate hunter brig Davenport off the northern coast of Jamaica. Pirate hunter Henry Cock was sent to track down Edward Kenway after Kenway had defeated the previous pirate hunters sent to capture him, and the Jackdaw took on the Davenport in battle. The superior firepower of the Jackdaw incapacitated the Davenport, and the pirates proceeded board the vessel and force its crew to surrender. Cock and his crew were pressed into the service of the Jackdaw, lowering the pirates' wanted level.
