Marc Rodin

Marc Rodin was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the French Army and a leader of the OAS. Rodin served as Antoine Argoud's deputy after the failure of Operation Charlotte Corday in 1962, and he decided to hire an English assassin known as "The Jackal" to assassinate President Charles de Gaulle in 1963. Rodin and the other OAS leaders stayed at a hotel in Rome, Italy under heavy guard by former French Foreign Legion troops, and he evaded arrest, even after the failure of the assassination attempt.
