Minekaze was an Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer that was completed on 29 May 1920. The ship served in the Second Sino-Japanese War and served on escort duty during World War II, sinking USS Duncan at the Battle of Cape Esperance in October 1942. On 10 February 1944, the ship was torpedoed and sunk by a US Navy submarine off Taiwan while escorting a convoy bound for Takao (Kaohsiung).
