The Moderate Liberal Party of Mexico was a liberal-conservative party in Mexico that existed from 1836 to 1936. The PML branded itself as a "moderate liberal" party, as its stances on citizenship and military spending were more liberal than the Conservative Party of Mexico; the PML favored granting immigrants limited citizenship, and they advocated strong support for the Mexican Army as a peacekeeping army, not as an invading army. In 1861, 63% of the upper house was ruled by the conservative parties.
