Nikolaus von Blumenthal (1776– ) was a German general who commanded the Luxembourg Army during the 19th century. After a distinguished career in the Prussian Army to gain experience and serving on the Prussian general staff, he returned and gained a general's commission in Luxembourg. A capable officer, he was considered to have been an aggressive commander. Blumenthal eventually rose to command the Grand Duchy's army in 1839, holding the office until 1843.
