Nuestra Señora de la Almudena 1714
Nuestra Señora de la Almudena was a Spanish Navy man o' war that was built in Veracruz, New Spain in 1714. The man o' war was sent to protect the Belizean of Corozal from any pirates, and it acted as the center of a restricted area that was located at the entrance of the island. In September 1719, the pirate ship Jackdaw, captained by Edward Kenway, captured the ship off Corozal, and Kenway gave command of the ship to Casey Pengelly, who used it for pirating operations and for missions as a part of Kenway's fleet.
