Palazzo della Seta
Palazzo della Seta was a marble palazzo built by the House of Barbarigo in Venice, Italy in 1450. The Gothic palazzo was situated on a small island separated from nearby islands by canals, and it was a heavily-guarded fortress, as the Venetian guards were ordered to protect the infamous merchant guild leader Emilio Barbarigo, who took up residence in the imposing building. In 1481, Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Antonio de Magianis, leading a small army of thieves, stormed the palazzo, with Ezio stealthily assassinating Barbarigo before the thieves took over the palace. Seta became the new headquarters of the thieves' guild of Venice, and the treasure of the palazzo was given back to the people.
