Peter Daniel Olsen (1914-2006) was a US Army lieutenant who served with the US 506th Infantry Regiment during World War II.

Biography

Peter Daniel Olsen was from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and he became a lieutenant and submachine gunner in the US 506th Infantry Regiment during World War II. Olsen fought at the Battle of Sainte-Mere-Eglise in June 1944, and he fought alongside the division as it pushed through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, ending the war in Austria in 1945. Olsen returned home to become a mechanic, and he died in 2006 at the age of 92.
