The Susu are a West African ethnic group from Guinea, also having significant populations in Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone. The Susu, 99% of whom are Muslim, favor endogamous cross-cousin marriages with polygamous households, and they have their own caste system. Of the 2,200,000 Susu people living in Africa, 2,042,287 live in Guinea and 192,000 in Sierra Leone.
