Yasumasa Sakuma

Yasumasa Sakuma (1555-25 April 1627) was a retainer of the Shibata and Toyotomi clans.

Biography[]

Yasumasa Sakuma was adopted into the Hoda as a young man, and was the brother of Morimasa Sakuma, one of Katsuie Shibata's generals. Yasumasa Sakuma fought at the Battle of Shizugatake in 1583, and when he was defeated, he defected to Nobukatsu Oda, and later fought for Ujiyasu Hojo and Ujisato Gamo. In 1615 he settled in Shinano Province, granted a fief by Ieyasu Tokugawa
